FIDELITY BANK ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER
7/2/2018
(WICHITA, KS) --- Fidelity Bank announced new leadership for credit and lending operations with the promotion of Roger Mericle to chief credit officer. In this role, he provides guidance to all areas of Fidelity’s credit operations, including residential lending, credit administration, consumer lending and loan operations. Mericle replaces longtime Fidelity executive Mark Sikes, who is retiring after a 23-year career at Fidelity, during which he helped shape credit operations across all areas of lending.
“Like Mark, Roger is not only an exceptionally experienced banker, but also a person of integrity,” said Aaron Bastian, Fidelity Bank’s president. “Under Mark’s sound management and principled leadership, we have cultivated a strong credit culture here, and Roger is the ideal person to build on that legacy.”
Mericle has more than 25 years of banking experience, including overseeing a diverse loan portfolio for customers in real estate, aviation and energy sectors. He first joined Fidelity Bank as a commercial business lending manager for the Wichita market in 2014. He is a graduate of Kansas State University and the Colorado Graduate School of Banking.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity to work alongside a group of people who are seriously committed to achieving sustained, responsible growth,” said Mericle. “Sound credit operations help empower customers and advance our community. That is honorable work.”
