Personal Pronouns
we are pro-respect
We believe that each member of our diverse team deserves respect. To truly foster a culture of inclusion we must all feel acknowledged and accepted. One way we choose to support each other is by offering our employees the option to include their preferred pronouns in their email signatures. This enables us to learn about each other and from each other—to find common ground in our language and address each other with dignity.
What are personal pronouns?
We all use personal pronouns every day to refer to a specific person or people. Below are some sets of personal pronouns, each with a direct, indirect and possessive form:
- He/Him/His – This pronoun set is generally used by individuals who identify as male.
- She/Her/Hers – This pronoun set is generally used by individuals who identify as female.
- They/Them/Theirs – This pronoun set is commonly used to refer to a group of people, but it can also be used to refer to individuals who identify as non-binary or gender-neutral.
- Ze/Zir/Zirs – This pronoun set is used by individuals who identify as non-binary and gender non-conforming.
This is just part of our journey to become a more diverse, inclusive and equitable organization and we invite you to join us.
